Stunningly-coloured foliage of large rounded fleshy leaves up to 15cm across give the appearance suggested by its common name.
New growth is a glaucous blue-green with pink edges developing into a red margin as the leaf matures. 
Yellow flowers borne above the foliage in summer. A very easily grown low maintenance plant which thrives on very little water. 
Tolerates dry and coastal conditions and full sun, and prefers a well drained soil and protection from frosts. 
A great plant for decorative pots, courtyard and rockery plantings and great as a dry garden border or mass planting.
